Health Administration Program

Most people who have chosen to work in health care are compassionate and caring. Unfortunately, these qualities are constantly challenged by practical demands to sustain and improve health care.

If you are passionate about positively impacting health care, the Ohio University Master of Health Administration program is for you!  This program can help you learn to become a leader who improves patient outcomes while maintaining the bottom line. Each program topic is presented with special emphasis on how it relates specifically to health care administration.  The topics include finance, leadership, legal, research, human resources, and marketing, among others.

In addition, every course focuses on how to improve communication with disparate parties, both internal and external. The ability to negotiate across boundaries will help you become the health administrator that gets things done.

One of the very best features of the Ohio University MHA program is the support you receive.  Unlike other schools, Ohio University recognizes that you are busy and barely have time to take classes and that you should not have to waste your valuable time on administrative matters.  As you begin your program you will meet your Student Services Program Coordinator (SSPC) who will be your ‘go to’ person throughout the program.  Your SSPC will be your day-to-day contact and source of program information, helping you with registration and textbook information, tuition and financial aid issues.  Your SSPC will help you negotiate the non-academic aspects of going to graduate school so that you can focus on your studies.  To read more about your Student Services Program Coordinator, please visit the Student Services page.
