Accreditation
A Regionally Accredited University
Because Ohio University is regionally accredited, health administration program quality is assured.
In the United States, there are six regional institutional accreditors. Although the regional associations are independent of one another, they cooperate extensively and acknowledge one another’s accreditation.
Regional accreditation is a measurement the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) uses to ensure that schools meet rigorous and up-to-date standards of education and professionalism. When you choose the Ohio University Master of Health Administration program you are assured of attending a university that meets the DOE standards.
The North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA) is one of the aforementioned 6 regional institutional accreditors. The NCA has 2 commission members, one of which is the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The HLC is an independent corporation that accredits degree-granting post-secondary educational institutions in the North Central region. Ohio University is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and therefore is a regionally accredited university.
